The Bloomington Postpartum Doula Collective (BPDC) is a local network of DONA-trained postpartum doulas. Postpartum doulas provide non-medical support and education to families as they ingrate a new baby into their lives. The members of the BPDC work together to promote the awareness of postpartum doula services; to ensure that new parents in the Bloomington area receive the support they need; and to uphold a high standard of care within the profession.
There are two different types of doulas: birth doulas and postpartum doulas. For more information about local birth doulas, please check in with Bloomington Area Birth Services (BABS) and Birth Doulas of South Central Indiana.
